    Patch 6.1 Preview Part 2

In this broadcast, we went over what’s coming in Patch 6.1, along with gameplay footage.

    Newfound Adventure Trailer

We began the broadcast by revealing the trailer for Patch 6.1, Newfound Adventure.
Patch 6.1 will be released on Tuesday, April 12.

As indicated by the patch title, new adventures await in the main scenario.
There will be quite a lot of cutscenes as well.

Although “Tataru’s Grand Endeavor” was previously announced to release in Patch 6.1, its story felt strange to progress alongside the main scenario, so we’ve rescheduled it for Patch 6.15. We hope you’ll take your time to play through it after having completed the 6.1 main scenario.

An elaborate battle will be featured in the additional storyline available after completing all Endwalker role quests.

Inspector Hildibrand is back in full swing after his hiatus in Shadowbringers, so please look forward to it.

Omega: Beyond the Rift will serve as an epilogue to the events of the Omega raid series from the 4.x series. We gave our all in crafting this story and hope you’ll take your time to play through it once Patch 6.1 has settled down.

The improvements to A Realm Reborn include major revisions to Cape Westwind and subsequent duties. The battle with Lahabrea will be its own instanced quest battle, one that befits his character. If you’re already past that point in the story but want to try the battle, you can do so through the New Game+ feature.

During the broadcast, we showcased the Duty Support system through gameplay footage.

The Duty Support NPCs who accompany you in dungeons will automatically adjust their jobs based on your job. Note that in Patch 2.0 content, you won’t be able to choose which NPCs accompany you. Also keep in mind that moving forward “Trusts” will refer to the system where you level up avatars of the Scions and other NPCs.

You may want to check out the video for gameplay footage of the Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak, which underwent a major graphical adjustment.

The latest Unreal trial is the battle with the Ultima Weapon, balanced for level 90. Be sure to also check out the new rewards!

Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate) is scheduled for Patch 6.11, two weeks after Patch 6.1’s release. We’ve already completed all of the balance adjustments and debugging for the battle, which will have a different flavor compared to previous Ultimate content, so we hope you’ll look forward to it.

As we’ve brought up in interviews before, Ultimate content can be incredibly challenging on release. Furthermore, we believe Dragonsong’s Reprise is relatively difficult compared to previous Ultimates, so we’d recommend preparing for a relatively longer venture.

A “beta version” of adventurer plates will be added in Patch 6.1. There are still a few aspects of the feature we’d like to adjust in terms of usability, and our goal is for its full release in Patch 6.15. For now, we’d like to know what you think after trying out this beta version.

During the broadcast, we also showcased the new Hrothgar hairstyles. The ears aren’t visible with these new hairstyles because the head and ears are part of the same model for Hrothgar characters, so we'd appreciate if you could imagine that the ears are hidden behind the hair.

See the 6.1 Patch Notes for further details regarding job adjustments.

Dark knights will be able to recover HP while Living Dead is active, which in turn allows white mages to use Benediction for other purposes rather than saving it specifically for Living Dead.

Certain dragoon actions have been consolidated to share one button, reducing the number of actions that need to be placed on hotbars. The animation lock for Jump actions have also been shortened and should be less of a hindrance.

Additionally, we’ve made some adjustments to low level actions to address the issue of having too few actions to play with at lower levels.

We are also considering further adjustments for dragoon and astrologian in Patch 6.2, which are considered relatively difficult and busier due to the complexity of their controls.

The keyword here is “phantom realm,” which is sure to pique curiosity. The story will begin from the discovery of such a “phantom realm."

During the broadcast, we showed gameplay footage of the interior of the alliance raid, while avoiding spoilers by leaving out the introduction cutscene and presentation effects that play out as you proceed.

What are the true identities of the Twelve? Do the Twelve actually exist, and if so, are they any different from primals?

In addition to these questions, the glyph of the Twelve that appears in the End of an Era trailer is another main scenario-related mystery that we’ll be uncovering in this alliance raid series. Lore enthusiasts will definitely want to keep their eyes peeled!

We showcased the hub area for the upcoming tribal quests. Separately, we also showed some new mounts, minions, and fashion accessories, which can be seen in the video.

A mount based on the pods from YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse will also be available and won’t be too difficult to obtain, so we hope you’ll nab one for yourself.

    Dreamfitting (Online Store Try-on Feature)

    (01:12:37)

We demonstrated how to use the new Dreamfitting feature, which you can see in the video.

We explained the purchasing system for housing plots in Patch 6.1 onward. For further details, we recommend reading this announcement: North America / Europe and Oceania
Moving forward, we’ll make an announcement beforehand when purchasing methods will be switched.

The outcome of lotteries will not be affected by whether you submit an entry earlier or later in the entry period.
We recommend submitting an entry during an entry period when you can set aside adequate time.

After our explanation of housing plot sales, we showcased some of the new alliance raid gear, glamour items, new housing exteriors, and furnishings, which you can see in the video.

Your profile information is displayed on the left side of the screen, but these details can be left blank if you prefer. The portrait is the section on the right where the character is displayed, and the plate design refers to the overall appearance of the adventurer plate.

These are the three aspects you can customize with adventurer plates.

In addition to displaying either a specific job or your current job, you can also edit your profile with a title, playstyle, and active hours. You can choose your favorite title from a list, as well as up to six playstyles. Information such as your Grand Company rank, free company, and search comment will automatically be reflected.

The portrait can be customized by selecting a pose and expression for your character. Other aspects of the image, such as the lighting, frame, and accents can also be adjusted. Multiple portraits can be saved, and you can switch between one of your favorites at a time. Up to 20 portraits can be saved as of Patch 6.1, which will be increased to 100 in Patch 6.15.

Additionally, when editing a portrait, you will have the option to have it appear during player introductions at the start of various duties. (This feature will be limited to Crystalline Conflict as of Patch 6.1.)

The portraits displayed in the adventurer plate and during duties can be set individually, and you can even register them to specific gear sets.

As for plate designs, you can customize your own design from a selection of different patterns for each part, which can be unlocked through various achievements. In future updates, we’ll be adding more ways to obtain these parts, including those that involve older content.

Presets are also available for players who just want to put a design together quickly.

The video features our showcase match of Crystalline Conflict. Crystalline Conflict matches are brief and can be enjoyed lightheartedly, so we hope you’ll give them a try!

Learn more about Crystalline Conflict and its rules.

    * Some of the rules that were shown on the slides during the broadcast were incorrect. Please refer to the link above or the patch notes for the correct rules.

We will also be revamping PvP job actions across the board to make participation in PvP content more lighthearted. As a result of these changes, Rival Wings will need some balance adjustments and will be unavailable during Patch 6.1.

We went over “series” periods and obtainable rewards. Series EXP can be earned by participating in PvP content, regardless of whether you win or lose. Rewards can be obtained upon reaching new Series Levels. With each Series, your Series Level will be reset and the reward lineup will be changed, but you’ll be able to obtain rewards from one Series prior.

You can gradually work your way up simply by playing PvP content, so we hope you’ll give it a try.

We also went over the rating system of “tiers” and “risers” that will be used in ranked matches of Crystalline Conflict, as well as “Rising Stars” which are obtained by winning ranked matches. Once you reach a tier, you will not drop below that tier even if you lose a match.

Beyond the Diamond rank will be the new Crystal rank, where ranking is determined by the amount of Crystal Credit in your possession instead of Rising Stars.

We went over the PvP schedule during the broadcast. A “series” refers to the period between major patches, such as Patch 6.1 and 6.2.

Ranked match seasons, on the other hand, start and begin independently of major patches and may not always change at the same time as a major patch. The first season of ranked matches is scheduled to go on until Patch 6.18.

In response to requests from players from around the globe, the GARO collaboration will be returning. New achievements, titles, and gear sets will be added for Shadowbringers and Endwalker jobs.

We reintroduced the collaboration trailer, which you can watch in the video.
