[Important]Regarding the End of Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 Support

Square Enix support for the Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV will end as of the release of the latest FFXIV expansion pack, FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers, currently scheduled for summer 2019.

Square Enix is planning to bring everyone an evolving FFXIV, thus we are focusing our efforts on creating and maintaining the PC version of the game on Windows® 64-bit OS and DirectX 11 systems, rather than on the older 32-bit and DirectX 9 versions.

You will likely be able to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers on Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 systems even after the end of support. However, Square Enix cannot guarantee that the game will function—all or part of FINAL FANTASY XIV may not be playable on Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 systems after the end of support. You may continue playing FFXIV on Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 systems at your own risk. Square Enix may respond to requests for technical support regarding Windows® 32-bit OS and DirectX 9 issues after the end of support, but such informal support will be limited, on a case-by-case basis, and is not guaranteed.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

- Switching to the DirectX 11 Version of FINAL FANTASY XIV
From the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher's “CONFIG” menu, move the “DirectX 11 Support” slider to the “On” position. "DirectX 11" will be displayed below the "Play" when you are using the DirectX 11 version of the software.
