In FFXIV the main character is the Warrior of Light and each player can imagine their personality and motivations differently. According to your opinions, what makes a Final Fantasy character a protagonist of their story?

It seems everytime a new Final Fantasy game is released it is never "a real Final Fantasy" so, Mr. Sakaguchi, as the founder of the series. What makes a Final Fantasy game a Final Fantasy game?

In a previous livestream, Yoshida-san mentioned allowing the ability to play older final fantasy titles such as those you worked on within FFXIV. Sakaguchi-san, what are your thoughts on this and how can we make this happen?
